Developed for advanced to expert skiers with all-mountain freeriding in mind, the Volkl M6 Mantra Ski is bound to become your new go-to for performance, versatility and fun. The Tailored Titanal Frames are placed above the sidewall along the tip and tail and above the binding area for more damping and torsional stiffness. Tailored Carbon Tips are placed along the stress lines of the ski for more performance at the front. Other features include a Tip & Tail Rocker and 3D Radius Sidecut. The result of these technologies is a well-rounded ski that can do it all.
Tip & Tail Rocker – bends up only in the shovel and tail zones with camber in the middle.
Multilayer Woodcore – combines beech and poplar for an extremely durable core that has hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood around it.
Tailored Titanal Frame – the width of the titanal frame is adapted to each individual ski length. These frames are placed above the sidewall along the tip and tail to provide more damping and torsional stiffness. The longer the ski, the more direct power transmission and stronger dampening, and vice versa. Along with these frames, a thinner titanal layer is added to the binding area for more strength.
Tailored Carbon Tips – this technology places individual carbon fibers onto a carrier metal that positions them along the stress lines of the ski that provides more performance at the front. Stiffness and torsion can be altered via fiber thickness and alignment.
Full Sidewall – full length sidewalls give this ski strong and direct power transmission.
P-Tex 2100 – a sintered, high-density and high molecular weight polyethylene base that glides well and is highly durable.
3D Radius Sidecut – long radii at the tip and tail provide stability, while a short radius in the middle allows the skier to switch from long to short turns quickly and easily.
